Editorial policy

Useful context, clearly separated from current conditions

We use enduring planning context to help visitors ask better questions. We do not present this guide as a live authority for permits, closures, weather, fire, road status, or wildlife activity.

Official authorities come first

Park agencies, public land managers, and recognized custodial or conservation authorities are the primary sources for operational guidance. Each park entry names its sources and the date its planning context was last checked.

Changing conditions

Permits, reservations, roads, trails, transport, fire, weather, hazards, and opening periods can change after publication. We describe the durable decision and omit a volatile detail when it cannot be responsibly maintained. Visitors should recheck the relevant authority before departure.

Last-checked dates

Every park entry carries the date its planning context and source links were reviewed. A recent date is not a guarantee that conditions are unchanged; it is a transparent record of our editorial check.

Wildlife language

Wild animals are unpredictable. We do not promise sightings, describe close encounters as rewards, or publish language that encourages feeding, calling, crowding, chasing, or leaving managed routes. Official distance and food-storage rules take priority.

Responsible images

We use real, locally stored photographs with a source and licence ledger. Wildlife is framed with habitat or clear distance wherever possible. Cultural landscapes are reviewed for restrictions on viewpoints, routes, activities, and photography; sensitive details are omitted.

Cultural landscapes

National park status does not erase living culture, custodianship, or continuing relationships with place. We name cultural responsibility when it changes visitor behaviour and defer to the guidance of the relevant Traditional Owners or custodial authority.

Future commercial disclosure

There are no active booking, product, price, or affiliate placements in Phase 1. If verified commercial recommendations are added later, paid or affiliate relationships will be labelled at the point of decision and will not replace conservation or official-source guidance.
